"Pray" in Japanese has a little different meaning from English.
It doesn't include any religious thought but just wish people, in trouble or will challenge, good luck.
One of my coworker whose husband is from Fukushima visited her husband's family after earthquake.
She said that she couldn't take any pictures of how the place looked like because it was completed destroyed. The tears wouldn't even come out when you see this dramatic loss. The ship is on the building, no road, no houses just trash filled up whole entire city.
When she went back to Japan, she brought this thing to see how much she got radiation. The result came couple days ago and the level was the highest of all worker who deal with X-ray every day.
My heart felt like squeezed so hard and I barely tried not to cry.
Her visit was only 10 days. So I can't imagine how much radiation people who actually live there are getting.
But Japanese government has never told people.
Only I can do is to pray and to believe how strong Japanese people.
We had a big earthquake about 15 years ago. The city is all rebuilt now.
Sometimes people call me right wing.
But I am wondering those never think their house is special.
My house is small, no AC and fourth floor without elevator.
I still feel sad if the house will be sold anytime soon.
I left my country 7 years ago without any affection to Japan.
Here I am, living in the US and saw differences between these two countries.
I like both country in different reason.
But I've been missing Japan everyday.
And I don't remember I miss US this much when I was in Japan.
My family never talks (at least me).
It doesn't mean they don't love me.
"No news is good news"
We trust each other so we don't have to talk every single day.
I noticed what Japanese culture is like since I started working in Japanese clinic.
I feel more sensitive about others' feeling there. Kinda stressful but I laugh so much more there.
I have been stressed out by a little things but hearing all troubles others have kinda made me realize how lucky I am and I need to do something I can do.
Which,,, I don't know what yet...

Choco news
I finally got an RN job at the clinic I started working as a front desk.
My trainer is gone after 3weeks training...
Now I am independent to do everything all by myself...
It's very scary especially other nurses do not know some parts I have to do.
Soooooooo,,,, I just need time to get used to it and figure out who will help me
It feels amazing to be a nurse even though my job is nothing like what I dreamed about during a nursing program.
Of course there are some problems relationship with coworkers.
Some people just can't understand or like the way I am...
Well American culture has kept me away from polite, humble and quiet Japanese culture.
But for those people, I wanna challenge to change their perspective by my job.
So, it will take time but I will be patient and make it happen.
Waiting for my wonderful bf with trying not to fall asleep... LOL
